A most methodical tutor
My son, Kit, was almost certainly going to fail his English GCSE when a chance meeting put me in touch with Steven Ilchester.
At the time Kit hated English, had a mental block about writing and did not understand any of his set pieces - the poems, books and plays.
Steven tutored him at our house for over a year. He took Kit back to the basics of grammar, explained everything he could in detail, talked to him like an adult, never made him feel like his views and opinions were unworthy and, gradually, beat down the opposition to English that Kit had nurtured for years in the school system.
He helped to develop in Kit an enquiring mind and gave him essay writing skills which he was able to apply to the set pieces of literature and language work. The end result was that Kit achieved a Level 5 in his English GCSE, which was absolutely amazing to us as a family and to Kit for his self esteem and future life.
Steven Ilchester was worth every penny that we spent on him gracing our kitchen with his presence and patiently endeavouring to inspire our son. I shall always be extremely grateful to him and I would unreservedly recommend him as a tutor.

Knowledge, patience, and understanding
I shall forever count my lucky stars that I had Steven as my tutor. His attention to detail is refreshing as is his effective method of teaching. He patiently explained to me how to structure my essay writing even though I mostly seemed lost. He believed in me and that was simply invaluable. I ended up enjoying uni because of Steven's encouragement.

Steve is an amazing, passionate yet friendly tutor.
His vast knowledge on many topics, both historical and current affairs, make him the best choice, if you want to improve your speech, your writing.
