Macadamians is an online directory service which boasts endless amounts of new features for students, tutors, schools and academies.

Students and parents find in an easy tool to search for the lessons or courses that meet their needs, enabling them to contact directly to the tutor or academy for free. Teachers and Academies can promote themselves through their profiles and courses in
Who takes payment for the lessons/courses?
All lesson payments are taken by the tutor or the academy. provides the tool to tutors and students to facilitate they can be connected, after that the relationship is between the student and the tutor/academy.
How can I sign up for an account?
To create your account you can go to the 'Sign up' link at the top menu. Fill in the form with your name, e-mail and password and click on 'Submit' button. Alternatively, you can sign up via your Facebook or Google account.
How does the 'Sign me in automatically' work?
When you tick the box 'Sign me in automatically', your browser saves your username and password and every time you access our website page you will be automatically logged in.
Why am I receiving an 'Account Locked' message?
If you attempt to access your account and type in an incorrect password 5 times the account will lock for 1 hour. This is for security reasons.
What happens if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, please click on the 'Forgot your Password?' link on the login page. The system will ask you to type your email address and the password recovery email will be sent to your email address. The email will contain a link which will redirect you to the Reset Password page, where you can type a new password.
Can I change my username?
Yes, you can do that by going to your account, clicking on the Settings page and typing your new e-mail.
How can I change my password?
Once you are logged in, click on 'Settings' from your Dashboard. You will see the Change Password section, type your current password and your new password in the corresponding fields, then click on the submit button.
How are rating scores calculated?
Students can rate tutors and academies using our five-star rating system and they can also include a review. The stars rating is based upon the average rating of all the rates that a profile has received.
How are reviews moderated?
All reviews are reviewed before being published in the profiles. You will be notified when a review is published in your profile. We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate review at any time.
Do I need an account to publish a profile/course?
Yes. In order to add any item, including Free items, to our website you must have an account.
Can I upgrade my profile/course plan?
Yes, you can. You can increase the visibility of your profile or course by upgrading its plan from your Dashboard page.
Is there a free profile/course plan?
Yes, there is a free plan available to publish your profile or course. Please refer to the Publish page to see the different levels available, their features and cost. Premium profiles include more information about the tutor or academy and about their lessons, with photos, videos, links to their social networks...
How are the payments made?
We use the industry standard Paypal, which enables you to pay online securely, quickly and easily with a credit or debit card. The subscription of any item is automatically renewed on a yearly basis. You can cancel or put your subscription on hold at any time through your PayPal account.
How can I claim my profile in
If you want to claim your already existing profile in, you have just to follow three easy steps: click "Is this your profile?" link in your profile, sign up or log in your account and update the information in your profile. Once the claiming is approved you can start to manage your profile and see the statistics of its activity.
How do I publish my profile or course?
Publishing your profile or course in is quick and simple. You can go to the "Publish" page and click the "sign up" button of the profile plan you prefer. Follow the simple instructions and let us know if you need any help. Once you have created your profile it will be placed in the publishing queue. When your profile has been reviewed and accepted by our team it will be published on our website and available to our visitors. In your Dashboard you can check the status of your profile and update it at anytime.
Can I add a link to my website from my profile?
Yes, you can include your website link as well as your phone number in your profile. If you have a Premium plan you can also include your social network links.
Can I add a link to your website from mine?
Yes, you are free to link to our website from your own site, as well as include a link to your profile page.
How do I hide/close my profile?
If you want to temporary hide or definitely close your profile in Macadamians just contact us and let us know.
What qualifications do I need to be a tutor?
We do not place limitations on tutors by qualification. We let the student pick the tutor they feel is most appropriate for their needs.
How will prospective students contact me?
The students can contact you by any of the contact means you have published in your profile. In the case they contact you through email you will receive a message from Macadamians including the students' message.
I want to add a deal in my profile. How does it work?
You can add a deal to your profile from your Dashboard in the Teachers Area. Just click on the text "Add deal" in your profile box. Please note that only payment level profiles have this feature available.
Can I add categories to my deal?
No, you cannot. The deal is related to the listing categories you choose.
