Course Description
Spend a full day working with professional photographers Maria Falconer and Paul Hill
12 photographers hook up with 12 dancers for a full day shooting on location and in the theatre. There are presentations, advice and individual feedback, this workshop will push your creativity to the max!

- Basic camera operation including:
- Understanding basic exposure - the connection between - shutter speed, aperture and ISO - THIS IS CRITICAL - for example if you are in a dark environment how might you adjust your camera settings (auto mode not allowed) to make a correct exposure? Or if you are trying to freeze a moment (such as a jump in the air) and therefore choose a fast shutter speed, how might that influence the aperture and ISO settings?
- How to use Shutter priority mode - this is very important for shooting on location
- What is ISO and how to easily adjust it - essential as we will be working in different lighting environments
- How to shoot in RAW - you can find this in the 'Quality' section of the menu
- Basic Post Production skills including;
- How to import your files into your editing software
- Ensuring that your software can read your RAW files - especially if you have recently purchased a new camera or laptop
- Basic adjustments such as exposure, cropping etc
- Exporting or saving your files as .jpgs
